2017 Small Research Grants Program
The Human Growth Foundation announces a Small Grants Program for investigation of human growth and its disorders. Special consideration will be given to new investigators and ideas new to the field. Postdoctoral research dealing with all aspects of normal and abnormal growth in the areas of biological, psychological, educational and dietary will be considered. Up to three grants in the amount of $7,500 to $10,000 each will be awarded in 2017.
An NIH-type biographical sketch and two-page* Letter of Intent (LOI) should be emailed to the address below by June15, 2016 All letters received by HGF will be submitted to HGF’s Research Committee, members of which consist of scientists and physicians. The topics most relevant to HGF interests will be chosen. Selected applicants will be notified by email by August 15, 2016 at which time HGF will request submission of a FULL GRANT APPLICATION prepared in NIH FORMAT. Although the actual NIH form is not necessary, it is recommended that the applicant use the form as a guideline. This final application will be due at the HGF national office no later than December 1, 2016
Notice of awards will be sent out on or near February 15, 2017
* NOTE: Should MORE THAN two pages be submitted, HGF reserves the right to edit and may, at its discretion, exclude the additional pages at the time the proposal is sent to the research committee for consideration. To avoid the risk of an incomplete proposal being submitted for review, please stay within the parameters of the guidelines set forth in the announcement.
